Poem: I Was A Victim

Introduction: Abuse followed me throughout my childhood, teenager years and seeped into my adulthood, which is what inspired this poem of mine. If abuse has ever been a part of your life, find people you can talk to and allow yourself the self-expression and emotional release you need to start the healing process. Love to you, Amanda

Poem: I Was A Victim
1/9/2019

My healing continues,
everyday in every way.
Life leads me to find and maintain,
a healthy home,
a safe place,
and a loving and supportive family.
It is impossible to leave my past in the past,
as it is a part of me, deep inside.
Through self-expression and emotional release,
I allow my body to escape the pain of my past reality.
Dangerous possibilities are real in life,
but I will do what I can to stay safe.
My nightmares may still continue,
with new challenges along my life path,
but I am strong,
and will always hold on to my inner power.
Hope fills me,
while kindness and love grow from my intuitive being.
My intuition’s whispers are becoming louder,
exclaiming that,
I am loved,
I am worthy,
I am everything I need to be,
and I have the ability to live my dreams.

Love to all,
love to you,
no matter what
may you always see
a way through.

Love to you, Amanda
