The deeper we connect with another, the scarier life may feel.

The more anxiety and the more distance you may feel from yourself, as you mould your life around another.

You create boundaries to feel safe and you feel safe enough to speak up when something does not feel right.

The other person listens because they care and they want you to be happy.

Sometimes, life presents twists and turns and some days do not feel good.

Some days feel like a black hole is being developed between you and the world, or you and the person you want to feel closest to.

You keep the relationship growing stronger because it feels right… in a way.

The relationship feels meaningful and you feel hope that the other person truly cares about you and will continue to do so in the future.

Eventually you find a sense of grounding, you find yourself again.

You feel so connected to this other person as well as to yourself, that you feel safe enough to share who you really feel you are in that moment and many moments to come.

And when a person responds positively to who you really are, without the show and the make-up, without the games and the pressure to be perfect, without all the struggle, you finally are able to fulfill most or all of your needs and even your wants.

Overtime, the healthy relationship grows stronger and despite your past relationships, that may not have gone well or were a shit-storm, you finally found your place, your person, yourself.

Now you know someone that makes you feel understood and perfectly imperfect.
